An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 hit waters south off the Sumatra Island, Indonesia, according to China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 4.31 degrees south latitude and 101.15 degrees east longitude.
