The 15th Changchun Film Festival, an event which has continued ever since its launch in the early 1990s, will take place from Sept 5 to 10 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province.

Organizers announced that the festival, which takes place every two years, had contacted a lot of film studios in more than 30 countries to solicit outstanding films for the exhibition.

All films will be screened online and in local theaters, with the best of them to contend for the Golden Dear Awards, the event's top honors.

Aside from the awards presentation, the festival will also hold a series of forums to discuss new trends and the industry potential for Chinese cinema.

Several big-budget film projects as well as the construction of a 5G digital industrial base are scheduled to be unveiled during the festival.
