Perfect World Group launches 88 brand email service

Perfect World Investment & Holding Group, a Beijing-based cultural and entertainment group, launched its new brand, 88, and its email service on Saturday as its latest move in entering the internet commerce market.

The newly-released email service is set to further cater to the needs of business communication and has clear and precise positioning, according to the company, which focuses on business demand from core users, including micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, freelancers and college students who are about to enter the workforce.

As a new internet business segment launched by the group, the 88 brand is not limited to email service. It also includes recruitment products, a knowledge platform, workplace social contact and business information to provide diverse products for different market segments. These products also are interconnected to take ecological effect, said Chi Yufeng, chairman of Perfect World Investment & Holding Group, at the conference.

Besides, the number "eight" shares a similar pronunciation with "fa" in Cantonese, which means wealth and luck. In this way, the 88 brand itself can attract people to its business use, according to the company.

"The very first aim of the 88 brand is to improve social efficiency, help individuals achieve social growth, bring happiness to more users, and provide new exploration to the industry," said Chi.
