Chinese shares close higher Friday

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed higher Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.71 percent to end at 3,310.01 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.27 percent higher at 13,637.88 points.
