Rainbow Chamber Singers, a Shanghai-based group known for popularizing chamber choir music among young Chinese, took the crown as winners of the reality show We Are Blazing, produced by Tencent Video, on July 23.

The reality show, the first of its kind in the country with Chinese musical groups in competition, premiered on May 29. Besides the Rainbow Chamber Singers, other popular Chinese musical groups, including RiSE and Rocket Girls, also joined in the show.

In 2010, Jin Chengzhi, who majored in conducting at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, co-founded the choir along with his classmates at the university. Now, with an average age of 24, the group consists of young people from all walks of life and has gained a large fan base with their original works, which are known for their catchy rhythms and humorous lyrics, including Where On Earth Did You Leave the Key to My Apartment, Zhang Shichao?
