Xi'an to host offline 10km race in August

XI'AN - With the COVID-19 situation having eased considerably in China, Xi'an, the hometown of the famed terracotta warriors and horses, will host an offline competition named Happy Run Xi'an 2020 on August 2.
The organizing committee of the event said on Monday that the runners can register through the official Wechat platform "Qujiang events" at 10:00 Beijing time on Tuesday. The first 1,000 registrations will secure positions in the offline event.
In order to ensure the health of all runners and attendees, the applicants will be required to upload their health QR codes into the registration system. Those who have traveled to medium- or high-risk areas within 14 days are not allowed to apply.
The competition will be held in Daming Palace National Heritage Park at 20:00 Beijing time on August 2.
