Beijing basketball players to team up for Children's Day exhibition
BEIJING - Players from Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) club the Beijing Ducks and Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) outfit Beijing will join forces for a mixed match on June 1, International Children's Day, the club announced on social media on Sunday.
Jeremy Lin, Ekpe Udoh, and China's national team members Zhai Xiaochuan and Fang Shuo will be divided into opposing sides, which also include Beijing women's basketball players such as Shi Xiufeng and Zhou Honghua.
The game will be broadcast live on Douyin, the Chinese version of Tiktok, from 6:30 pm on Monday.
To celebrate International Children's Day, other entertaining activities will also be shown live in addition to the exhibition match.
The club added that some player-worn jerseys and shoes have been auctioned on T-Mall, an online shopping platform of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba, and revenues will be contributed to youth basketball development projects.
