China will make efforts to add about 20,000 newly-registered businesses on a daily basis this year by promoting the development of new forms of business, Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday.

The government also will do the utmost to help the existing 120 million market entities survive via bailout measures, and energize them via reforms aimed at building a world-class business environment that encourages fair competition, Li said.

The focus of this year's macro policies on helping market entities get through difficulties is in line with the nation's market-oriented reform efforts, Li said at a press conference following the closing of the third session of the 13th National People's Congress, the nation's top legislature.
