Chinese national team beat Shanghai SIPG 4-1 in warm-up game

SHANGHAI - The Chinese men's national football team beat Shanghai SIPG 4-1 in their first warm-up game after the COVID-19 pandemic here on Thursday with substitute Tan Long contributing two goals.
The national team selected Elkeson and Luo Guofu from Guangzhou Evergrande as strikers in the starting list, while foreign players Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior, Hulk, Odil Akhmedov and Ricardo Lopes Pereira formed the main line-up of Shanghai SIPG.
In the 29th minute after the opening, Luo quit due to injury and Tan came off the bench. The latter converted a header after 3 minutes, winning the first goal for the national team. In the 40th minute, young player Wei Shihao scored a goal from a sharp angle, changing the score to 2-0.
In the second half, the national team changed 8 players, aiming to test the effect of different lineups. In the 47th minute, veteran Dong Xuesheng contributed a good header after receiving a corner kick, helping the national team expand their edge to three goals. In the 65th minute, Ricardo Lopes got one point back for his team. In the 73rd minute, Tan scored his second goal, locking the score at 4-1 to seal the victory for the national team.
The national team will play the second warm-up game with Shanghai Shenhua on May 26.
