BEIJING - China has seen fast improvement in its international air cargo transport capacity which strongly facilitates the country's international supply chain, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

China currently operates 4,250 international cargo flights per week, which represents a 215 percent increase over the average weekly international cargo flight volume during last year, according to the CAAC.

The CAAC has introduced a series of measures to enhance the comparatively inadequate capacity in international air cargo transport which is revealed amid the pandemic.

These measures include simplifying cargo flights approvement, opening more peak time for cargo flights at major airports, and encouraging airliners to fully use their all-cargo freighters and passenger aircraft for cargo transporting missions.
