Former head of China CITIC Bank arrested over bribery charge

JINAN -- Sun Deshun, former president of China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited, has been arrested on the charge of taking bribes, the Shandong Provincial People's Procuratorate announced Wednesday.

The National Supervisory Commission has completed the investigation into his case and handed it over to procuratorate agencies for prosecution, the procuratorate said.

The Supreme People's Procuratorate has designated procuratorate agencies in Shandong province to handle the case. The People's Procuratorate of Jinan, capital city of Shandong province, has made the arrest decision.

The case is being further pursued.
