China will carry out more efforts to boost the sales of automobiles in the country and to kick off the construction of 5G networks and other big projects, the nation's top industry regulator said on Friday.

The move is part of China's broader efforts to revive economic activities as the novel coronavirus outbreak comes under control in the country.

Xin Guobin, vice-minister of industry and information technology, said the ministry will ramp up resources to facilitate enterprises to resume production and coordinate with other ministries to solve problems such as labor shortage and restrictions on logistics in some areas.

Also, more efforts will be made to help small- and medium-sized enterprises to solve cash shortage and to ensure that they enjoy the benefits of favorable policies the government has rolled out.
