CAF holds license D coaching course for 16 Ghanaian teachers
ACCRA -- The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in conjunction with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has organized a license D coaching course for 16 Ghanaian physical education teachers.
The five-day course was held under the CAF girl's under-15 seven-a-side program.
The participants were taken through stages of childhood development, team building, modern football, passing techniques, and some field practicals.
The general secretary of the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo, urged the newly-trained coaches to go to their respective schools and make an impact on the children they handle.
"You have successfully finished this course and I believe you have gained a certain level of knowledge," said the GFA capo.
"In a month's time, you will gather here again this time with the kids from your various schools and we all shall see the impact of the program on them," he noted.
He expressed appreciation to CAF for introducing this program to develop grassroots football, especially for women.
Ghana is among 16 countries and regions in the continent benefiting from this project aimed at developing women's football.
