Zhejiang Golden Bulls outlast Shanxi Loongs 118-110 in CBA

HANGZHOU - Marcus Edward Denmon and Sylven Landesberg combined to score 77 points as Zhejiang Golden Bulls beat Shanxi Loongs 118-110 at home in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Thursday.
Shanxi cut the gap to 3 points after Jamaal Franklin made both free throws on 111-108 with 2:09 minutes remaining.
Zhejiang stormed to a 5-0 run, with a 3-pointer from Denmon and a jump shot from center Zhang Dayu after Yan Pengfei missed an easy layup for Shanxi to make it 116-108 with 1:02 minutes left, left the visitors unable to respond.
Denmon scored a team-high 40 points and 12 rebounds, while Landesberg added 37 points for Zhejiang.
Jamaal Franklin led Shanxi with a game-high 45 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
Shanxi opened the game with a 20-8 run before Zhejiang bounced back with five 3-pointers and took over the lead with 26-22 in the first quarter.
Zhejiang once had the biggest advantage of 48-27 before the visitors rallied from behind for a 30-18 run to cut the deficits to 11 in the third quarter.
