Zhejiang Lions oust Liaoning 122-103 in CBA
HANGZHOU - Zhejiang Lions ousted Liaoning Flying Tigers 122-103 at home in Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Sunday, with five players scoring double figures.
Guard Sun Minghui led the Lions with 37 points and 8 rebounds, and Dezmine Wells contributed 36 points. Newly signed guard Corey Webster finished with 10 points.
Center Han Dejun had a team-high 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Brandon Bass added 21 points and 10 rebounds for Liaoning.
The visitors were without former NBA star Lance Stephenson because of fever, but they still led 26-23 in the first quarter. Zhejiang stormed to a 10-4 run early in the second quarter and led 54-47 into the halftime.
After Han Dejun made an easy layup, Liaoning cut the gap down to six points but failed to go further.
Zhejiang Lions climbed one position up to eighth following the victory, while Liaoning remain in fourth place.
