Chinese tourism website Mafengwo recently held World Explorers 2019 in Beijing, a promotion event attended by over 400 of its partners from home and abroad. The tourism platform summarized its excellent marketing cases in 2019 and unveiled its tourism marketing strategies focusing on travel tips in 2020.

"With the development of the mobile internet, the experience economy has been shifting from service-centered to interaction-centered. As it will generate new consumptions of tourism, the industry should take the opportunity to do marketing," said Chen Gang, Mafengwo's co-founder and CEO.

He said the interaction-centered situations have created new experience for customers and entrusted new values on goods. Also, online platforms have connected individuals with each other.

"Travel tips are like a bridge that links our users with travel, and links brands with users as well. Our strategy in 2020 will focus on building a marketing service system that combines tourism products, data and innovation, based on user-generated travel tips," said Yu Zhuo, senior vice-president of Mafengwo.
