Late goal gives Syria 1-0 win over China in Zhuhai U22 tournament

ZHUHAI, China -- Thanks to Yasin Dali's only goal in the 82nd minute, Syria beat China 1-0 in Zhuhai U22 tournament here on Wednesday.
Dali was brought onto the picth at the hour mark, before striking a volley into the top corner after China's keeper Chen Wei punched Syria's cross out of the box but not far enough.
"We watched some matches of China before and we knew China was a good team. As you know the situation in our country is not so good and we are very happy and excited to win a match like this." Syria's coach Ayman Alhakim said after the match.
China had chances to score at both halves. Zhang Yuning put the ball into the back of the net in the 40th minute but the goal was cancelled for offside. Yang Liyu hit the left post with his right foot from outside of the penalty area one minute into the second half.
"I feel very sorry for the loss. We played well as a team but we have to do more to seize at least one opportunity." China's coach Hao Wei said after the match.
