MLS club Columbus Crew set to sign Dutch defender Wormgoor

MLS team Columbus Crew are set to sign Dutch defender Vito Wormgoor from Norwegian club Brann, local media reported on Thursday.
Wormgoor, 31, has spent his entire career to date in Europe, getting his start at Dutch side Utrecht before playing for De Graafschap and Den Haag. In 2016 he joined Aalesund of Norway and then moved to Brann in 2017.
In 2019 Wormgoor played 30 league games for Brann, and being a center back, he scored five goals for the team.
Columbus finished 10th in the Eastern Conference in the past season.
