Beijing water town kicks off winter programs
The Beijing water town of the northeastern Miyun district has unveiled a series of events to warm up the winter.
Distinctive fair, lantern lightening and chorus performance are among the highlights for December.
"We've put more interactive elements to enrich visitor experience this year," Zhou Jianhong, a sales manager at the water town, said.
The focus is on integration of traditional Chinese and Christmas elements this year.
The town has launched packages for family travelers and love birds, as well as foreigners from international schools and foreign commerce chambers in the capital. The packages cover entrance ticket, food and various entertainment events.
The town received more than 400,000 traveler during November and December last year.
