China to uphold, improve system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics: document

BEIJING - China will work to uphold and improve the system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics and improve the Party's capacity for law-based governance and law-based exercising of state power, according to a decision of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
The decision on some major issues concerning how to uphold and improve the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and advance the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance was adopted at the fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee on Oct 31.
It stressed the following:
-- improving systems and mechanisms that ensure the full implementation of the Constitution;
-- improving systems and mechanisms for law-making;
-- improving the rule of law systems for ensuring social fairness and justice;
-- reinforcing oversight of enforcement of law.
