Impressions on China's 25-year internet development

"It's extraordinary. In fact, 25 years ago, China was at the beginning (in internet). At that time, I remember there was a little company, Huawei. They were my competitor. Now it's extraordinary to see that Huawei is a dominant player on many fronts of telecom space. And it's winning on innovation. So for me it's very astounding. I'm very happy to see that. What impressed me very much is the progress; the willingness to go outside to the world, the ability to plan, to work, to make it happen, to fight and to become a dominant player. For me, it's a good example for everybody."
