Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to visit China

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte will pay a visit to China from Aug 28 to Sept 1.

President Xi Jinping and his Philippine counterpart have met seven times over the past three years, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said while meeting with Philippine Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin on the sidelines of the ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting and other related meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, in July.

The foreign ministers have reached a consensus, with the two countries pledging joint efforts to accelerate their mutually beneficial cooperation.
