SHANGHAI - Shanghai's top 100 companies registered total revenue of over 6.9 trillion yuan ($980 billion) in 2018, up 13.3 percent year-on-year, data showed.

The companies gained a net profit of 443.3 billion yuan during the period, up 11.4 percent year-on-year, according to the top 100 list published Monday by the Shanghai Enterprise Confederation, Shanghai Federation of Economic Organization and Jiefang Daily.
