Last October, he received a call from Yinchuan Red Cross for the first time, telling him that he had a preliminary match with a leukemia patient who needed a bone marrow donation.

In order to successfully complete the donation, Li began to exercise every day, pay attention to his diet, and go to a hospital in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, for four consecutive days to receive injections of a mobilization agent.

In the beginning of 2019, the operation was completed. Due to the large weight of the recipient, doctors collected 260 milliliters of hematopoietic stem cell suspension from Li in two days, which exceeded the normal amount collected by an adult (50 to 200 ml per day).

Li was optimistic. He took a photo with the blood bag.

Since the donor and recipient are not allowed to meet each other, the doctor thanked Li for his kindness and conveyed the patient's gratitude after the operation.
