Jewelry show marks legendary French designer

The exhibition through Sept 1, Jean Schlumberger: Twentieth Century Treasures from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, is the first project of the multi-year cooperation signed in 2018 between the two museums for exchanges in collection, research and human resource.

The exhibition at the National Museum of China also shows 11 centuries-old Chinese accessories from the museum's collection of which Wang Chunfa the museum's director says the aesthetics and philosophy of ancient Chinese echos with the modern design, celebrating the value of jewelries as cultural artifacts and art of a lingering charm.
