PARIS - The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd (COMAC) on Wednesday displayed its CBJ business jet model at the Paris Air Show, the first time at an overseas public event.

This is COMAC's fifth time at the international exhibition. Its CBJ business jet is one of a series of products of ARJ21 aircraft targeting high end market.

With more spacious cabin space than its rival models, the aircraft design offers the possibility to accommodate the seating layout of 12-29 seats which can be flexibly configured with relatively independent functional areas according to the individualized requirement from customers, the company said in a press release.

COMAC also displayed at the air show its independently-developed C919, and the CR929 long-range wide-body aircraft manufactured by China-Russia Commercial Aircraft International Co Ltd (CRAIC).

This strong presence is meant to show that COMAC is forming a series of product development and market expansion pattern of developing regional jet, single-aisle commercial jet, dual-aisle commercial jet, and relevant derivatives such as business jet and cargo aircraft, the company noted.

Focusing on the potential customers of ARJ21, C919, CR929 and CBJ business jet at this year's air show, the company is trying to enhance communication and exchange with more customers to fully explore their demands and gradually improve the satisfaction of airlines, pilots and passengers with aircraft products.
