CHENGDU - Hwang Jaehwan's hat-trick helped South Korea U-18 national football team win over China U-18 3-0 in the 2019 Panda Cup international youth football tournament here on Wednesday.

South Korea took a dream start just three minutes into the game as Cho Hyuntaek's long range shot rolled past the post. Jung Jaemin of South Korea nearly broke the deadlock in the 24th minute, but his close range header missed the target.

After a goalless first half, Hwang Jaehwan opened the scoring for South Korea in 54th minute with a flip shot, and he scored his second goal just thirteen minutes later. In the 75th minute of the game, Hwang Jaehwan completed a hat-trick to South Korea's victory.

In the tournament's other match earlier in the day, Thailand beat New Zealand 1-0.
