Separately, the guild’s Young Director Support Program, also titled as Young Shoot, announced the final five winners – Gao Peng; Liu Siyi; Long Lingyun; Wang Yixue and Zhou Runze – who will each get 1 million yuan ($148,877) to shoot their debut feature.

The winners were selected from nearly 400 aspirants from China and abroad.

The Dome Studio – an acting school jointly run by director Chen Kuo-fu, actor Chen Kun and actress Zhou Xun – has joined hands with the guild this year to back the program as some of the school’s student actors were cast in the winners’ films.
