Jiuquan sets up major deals
Jiuquan, a major city in Northwest China's Gansu province, announced it has inked 36 cooperation deals totaling 16.88 billion yuan ($2.51 billion) on Wednesday.
The deals, covering industries including agriculture, new energy and tourism, were part of an initiative by the China Green Companies Summit to promote economic cooperation between Jiuquan and leading business firms.
Alibaba affiliate Ant Financial Services, Enn Energy Holdings Ltd and leading chemical firm Lianyungang Fuyu Chemical are among some notable companies to make deals this year.
"The signing of these projects will surely bring about fruitful cooperation and more investment dividends for the city" said Zhang Anjiang, mayor of Jiuquan.
The China Green Companies Summit is an annual summit held by the China Entrepreneur Club. Established in 2006 by more than 40 leading entrepreneurs, CEC is a business organization and NGO, which has been promoting a sustainable development, economy and entrepreneurship.
