Transport head of east China's Anhui under investigation

HEFEI -- Shi Ping, head of the transport department of eastern China's Anhui Province, is under investigation over alleged serious violations of disciplines and laws.
The provincial discipline inspection and supervisory committee announced the decision on Thursday.
Shi, 59, also Communist Party chief of the department, was vice-director of the Anhui's local tax bureau and the provincial development and reform committee before being promoted to his current position in 2015.
