S China furniture firm teams up with JD to boost sales

Guangdong Dious Furniture Industry Co has signed an agreement with JD, a major e-commerce giant, aiming to boost its online sales, according to sources with the furniture company.

"We will open more channels to expand the sales of office furniture," said Huang Shoujin, president of Guangdong Dious Furniture Industry Co.

The company, based in Zhongshan of Guangdong province, focuses on the research, manufacturing and sales of office furniture. It has a production base of 600,000 square meters in China and abroad.

"We are building a new commercial office furniture ecosystem by opening new plants and sales channels," said Huang.

JD, one of China's largest online retailers by revenue, launched in 2016 an innovative platform, named JD Qiye Gou (literally meaning JD corporate procurement service), to bridge the gap between customers and product suppliers.

"The JD platform would help us better meet the demands of corporate buyers," said Huang.
