China to strengthen crackdown on medicare fund fraud

TIANJIN - China will launch a month-long campaign nationwide to enhance supervision over medical insurance funds and strengthen its crackdown on medical insurance fraud.
The campaign, initiated by the National Healthcare Security Administration, also aims to create an atmosphere for the whole society to consciously safeguard medicare fund security.
Efforts will be made in the campaign to promote relevant laws and regulations, smooth out complaint channels of healthcare security departments at all levels, as well as set up a reward system for information concerning fraud.
A launching ceremony for the campaign, jointly held by the administration and Tianjin Municipal People's Government, was held in Tianjin Monday.
