Deputy to the 13th NPC Li offered two suggestions focusing on national energy security, environmental protection, and the automobile market.

In a proposal to promote methanol fuels and vehicles, Li said that doubts about methanol fuels are the main reason why they haven't been yet widely applied, and that the promotion of methanol fuels and vehicles is yet to begin.

He said that methanol should be promoted at a national level as a clean, renewable energy source, and access to methanol vehicles should be improved.

Li additionally said the automobile refitting market should be standardized to promote the optimization and development of automobile consumption.
