Julien Brocal piano recital

Pianist and composer Julien Brocal will stage a piano recital in Beijing on Sunday, playing Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28 and Ravel's Sonatine and Miroirs.

Winner of BBC Music Magazine's 2018 Newcomer of the Year Award, Brocal began learning piano at the age of five and first performed on stage at the Salle Cortot (Paris) at the age of seven.

His debut album was released in 2017 and featured 24 Preludes Op. 28 and Sonata No. 2 Op. 35 by Frédéric Chopin. The recording was received with critical acclaim by the international press, notably BBC Music Magazine which called it "Spellbinding Chopin".
