Fast track to global glory

Chinese sprinters edged closer to the world's fastest as Su Bingtian twice equaled the Asian 100m record of 9.91 seconds while breaking the Asian indoor 60m record three times.

Su, 30, became first Asian native to run 100m under 10 seconds in 2015, and was joined by his younger teammate, Xie Zhenye, who accomplished the feat twice this year with 9.97 and 9.98 seconds.
