China's Shi Tingmao awarded FINA Best Female Diver of 2018


HANGZHOU -- China's diver Shi Tingmao was named the Best Female Diver of the Year 2018 at the FINA World Aquatics Gala on Sunday night.
It was the fourth consecutive time Shi won the award.
Shi won the women's 3m springboard and women's 3m synchronized springboard titles at the FINA Diving World Cup in Wuhan this year. She also won all the 3m springboard events at the FINA Diving Series in 2018.
Another Chinese diver Cao Yuan was awarded the FINA Best Male Diver of 2018.
Hungary's Katinka Hozzsu, who collected four golds at the Hangzhou Worlds, was named the Best Female Swimmer of 2018 while South Africa's Chad Le Clos was the Best Male Swimmer of 2018.
The Best Male Synchronized Swimmer was Giorgio Minisini of Italy, while the Best Female Synchronized Swimmer was Yelyzaveta Yakhno of Ukraine.
Ana Marcela Cunha of Brazil was named the Best Female Open Water Swimmer; and the Best Male Open Water Swimmer was Ferry Weertman from the Netherlands.
