New pact offers better eye care for customers

China's spectacle giant Nova Vision recently announced a pact with Airdoc, a Chinese image cognition startup; Chunyu Doctor, one of China's leading online platforms connecting doctors and patients; 3SBic Inc, a leading biopharmaceutical enterprise in China and Yifeng Pharmacy, to improve the service of spectacle stores and build a complete visual health service chain.

Meanwhile, since July, Nova Vision has been introducing AI cameras at its Baodao Optical stores with the help of Airdoc, to analyze the risk of eye diseases for customers.

Before the deal, such AI chronic disease identification algorithm was available only in grade 3A hospitals or high-end centers.In three months since the service was introduced, 14,642 customers underwent  screening at such stores all over the country.
