Germany beat US 4-0 to make FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup quarterfinal

LONDON - Germany beat the United States 4-0 to top Group C at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Uruguay 2018, according to FIFA on Thursday.

Germany now progress to a second consecutive U-17 Women's World Cup quarterfinal and will play Group D runners-up Canada in Montevideo on Nov 25 for a spot in the semifinals.

Shekiera Martinez scored a brace while Vanessa Fudalla curled in a free-kick in the fourth minute. Laura Donhauser scored Germany's fourth goal.

Despite having more goal attempts, The United States were unable to convert any of their chances - hitting the woodwork on three occasions - while Germany capitalized on theirs.
