Tony Acciarito, President of Thermo Fisher Scientific China

We are encouraged by President Xi Jinping's speech at CIIE and very grateful to the Chinese government's support of global trade liberalization and opening-up. Thanks to favorable business environment, Thermo Fisher has been cultivating Chinese market for over 35 years and now has become a business with nearly 5,000 employees in China.

Our priority in Chinese market is to provide multiple solutions to our customer in order to accelerate local innovations and resolve difficult challenges in key vertical markets, such as healthcare, environment, food safety, and pharma and bio-pharma. In the future, we will continue to incubate, drive and implement innovations "in China for China" and enable our customers to make China healthier, cleaner and safer. Besides, we will leverage our global resource and innovation capability to support the development of the Yangtze River Delta cluster and healthcare industry in Hainan province as well as support the construction of Shanghai science and technology innovation center.

We are also glad to learn that President Xi holds fully optimistic attitude toward China's economic development. I am confident that there will be great opportunities for the company to continue to grow fast in the future.
