With its human-oriented, mindful and innovative mobility technologies, Human Horizons, an IT provider focusing on future intelligent mobility, has the ambition of changing how we move in the future.

Ding Lei, founder and CEO of Human Horizons, said at a news conference in Shanghai on Monday that it will integrate its technology across vehicles, road networks and citywide to create holistic future mobility with revolutionary new energy intelligent products and systemic solutions.

As the former general manager of Shanghai General Motors, Ding said that it's not difficult to produce a car, but it is difficult to lay out the future of human mobility.

Human Horizons is focusing on five sectors according to the CEO, that is to build smart cities which feature intelligent vehicles, shared vehicles, charging networks, internet of vehicles technology and automated driving.

The company is building an information network for intelligent vehicles, one of the most important assets for smart cities, so that they are able to communicate with one another to further develop the efficiency of automated driving technology.

Called Human Oriented Architecture, the network helps to integrate vehicles and the traffic network via data transfer, computer analysis and connectivity.

Ding said that his company would share the human-oriented architecture with governments and districts and allow all vehicles on the roads to access the system in the future.

Some prospective demonstration technologies and projects have already started.

The company launched the world's first open road test for sensor fusion and computing collaboration in Yancheng, Jiangsu province.

At the Shanghai Port Intelligent Future Park, Human Horizons is getting ready to launch its vehicle-road-city data artificial intelligence demonstration project.

The company has also completed more than 100,000 kilometers of testing of its Level 4, or "mind off", autonomous driving system, which allows the vehicle to completely control itself in most road conditions.

To better showcase its concepts, the company unveiled its RE05 model at the news conference, which uses an advanced hub motor drive system that drives and steers all four wheels independently. The model will be mass-produced in the future, according to Human Horizons.

Casting its vision even further ahead, the company has also released two concept models - Concept H Hypervelocity and Concept A Active-Agility.

The Concept H model, with only three seats, is equipped with a re-configurable cockpit and electric steering system, which means that the vehicle can be operated from any seat within the car. The Concept A model is equally ambitious which the company claims will be capable of being operated not just on the road, but also on water and in the air.
