Messi suffers elbow injury ahead of major game

MADRID -- FC Barcelona suffered a major injury scare just a week before they face Real Madrid in one of the most important matches of the season in the Camp Nou Stadium on October 28th when Leo Messi was forced out of their game at home to Sevilla with an elbow injury.
Messi had helped set up Phillipe Coutinho for Barca's opening goal of the game in the 2nd minute and scored Barca's second of the night 11 minutes later when he fell badly after a challenge and his elbow appeared to bend in an unnatural way.
Although the Argentinean received treatment from Barca's medical services, he had to be substituted by Ousmane Dembele and was taken to hospital for further tests.
As well as the Classico next Sunday, Barcelona also face a vital Champions League tie at home to Inter Milan on Wednesday.
