Chinese property-to-entertainment conglomerate Wanda Group signed a strategic partnership with US leading hospital UPMC on Sunday to jointly build international hospitals, as part of the company's deeper dive into the country's burgeoning healthcare sector.

These hospitals, dubbed as Wanda UPMC International Hospital, will join forces of medical skills, management and services from UPMC, a well-known medical group with over 30 hospitals in the US.

The first batch of five hospitals will kick off in top-tier cities in the country, including Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
