England's Ronnie O'Sullivan defeated Barry Hawkins 11 to 9 to win the championship in the final of the 2018 World Snooker Shanghai Masters on Sunday.

Hawkins, who beat Ding Junhui 10-9 in the semi-finals, opened up with a brilliant century of 125 in the first frame.

He then took the second to double his lead before O'Sullivan got on the board with a break of 85.

But Hawkins' second century of the match, this time 132, allowed him to take the lead.

It was the first of three frames he won of the last four to go in 6-4 ahead.
