Harbin eye doctor returns from Mauritania with honor

After spending two years providing medical assistance in the Northwest African country of Mauritania, Li Weijun has returned to his hometown of Harbin, capital city of Heilongjiang province.

Li, 44, an ophthalmologist at Harbin First Hospital, received more than 2,000 patients and performed nearly 200 eye operations in the hospital of Kiffa, a city in south Mauritania.
