CHICAGO - Chinese company Invotech Scroll Technologies Co Ltd opened a stall at the Global Cold Chain Expo in Chicago this week to expand its market in North America.

Established in 2011, Invotech has been exporting its compressors to South America, Europe and Southeast Asia, Zhu Huaping, director of application and overseas marketing of Invotech, told Xinhua.

In comparison, exports to North America are relatively small.

This was the first time Invotech attended the expo held at McCormick Place from June 25 to June 27.

While Chinese companies are trying to expand their international market, overseas companies are seeking to exports to China.

At the United Fresh Market Expo concurrently held on the same floor at McCormick Place, Aguacates Chahena, a fresh fruit company from Mexico, displayed avocados.

"We now ship seven containers to China a week, and each container contains 20 tons of avocados," Ramiro Martmez, operations director of the company, told Xinhua.

Martin said they began to export avocados to China in 2016. With the Chinese demand for such healthy food as avocados having doubled, his company plans to increase its avocado exports to China.
