SHANGHAI - Ctrip.com International Ltd Tuesday announced that it has further strengthened its strategic relationship with US-based Booking Holdings.

The popular Chinese online travel agency said Gillian Tans, CEO of Booking.com, the largest business within Booking Holdings, has been designated as Booking Holdings' observer to the Ctrip board of directors.

Ctrip.com and Booking.com will continue to share access to each other's hotel inventory, allowing customers to select from a wider range of price competitive products globally.

Ctrip also established a commercial partnership with OpenTable, another Booking Holdings business. This allows Ctrip customers to make reservations for restaurants in North America on OpenTable.
