Woman knits 'Work of Heart' garden to remember late husband

A widow who weaved the world's first knitted garden in memory of her husband - said it helped her battle depression and anxiety.
Clare Young’s husband Ken Young, 47, died in August 2015 at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Cheltenham, United Kingdom.
After his death, Clare was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety. Her clinical psychologist suggested she should take up knitting as a way to help her symptoms.
The 50-year-old has now created a full-size knitted garden installation which is on display at RHS Malvern Spring Festival from May 10 and is expecting more than 100,000 people to attend.
The woolly field is called the “Work of Heart” garden and marks what would've been Ken 50th birthday. The incredible installation measuring 4m by 4m will feature a hospice bedroom overgrown with knitted plants known for their healing properties.
