Data technology provider nEqual signed an agreement with global consultancy firm Roland Berger on Thursday to provide solutions for companies in digital transformation.

Wu Jian, CEO of nEqual, said the Chinese market, which is growing at a fast pace, has shown a great demand for digitalization.

"Companies need to make the most of the advantages of data and technology to realize sustainable development with strong competitiveness," he said.

In this sense, nEqual will provide customized data management and integration services for companies in production, sales and customer relationship management. It will also help improve the efficiency of data exchanges within a company.

"Digitalization is the most ideal option for companies to realize rapid development, improve competitiveness and resolve current difficulties," said Wang Xin, a partner of Roland Berger in the technology, media and telecom section. "Either willingly or not, a company in transformation has to meet all kinds of challenges or opportunities."

Now, many companies adopt new technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and intelligent equipment when seeking innovation.

However, though the digital era has led to significant changes in traditional commercial modes, not all companies are well prepared for that, industrial insiders said.

Roland Berger is an enterprise management consulting provider. It said it will back its clients in digital transformation from strategic design and business operation to internal support.

For example, the company will give assessments for companies, study the industrial trends and do benchmarking, in a bid to set strategic goals for digitalization.

It will help apply digital tools to different business procedures for companies, including manufacturing, marketing and customer services, according to Roland Berger.

Digital methods will also be used to optimize the internal management of companies, including managing human resources and streamlining processes, it said.
