Former Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant's trophy collection just keeps growing in retirement, as he won a Sports Emmy for Dear Basketball on Wednesday.

Bryant's animated short film won the award for outstanding post-produced graphic design. Dear Basketball also won an Academy Award, or Oscar, in the animated short film category in March.

"As basketball players, we're really supposed to shut up and dribble," Bryant said onstage as he accepted the Oscar. "I'm glad we do a little bit more than that."

The five-time NBA champion was an executive producer of the film that detailed his journey in the sport. It starts with Bryant as a child, chronicles his time on the court and features work from animator Glen Keane, who worked on titles like "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast".

Dear Basketball is based on the poem Bryant wrote in 2015 for the Players' Tribune and defeated NBC's Sunday Night Football, ESPN's Monday Night Football and CBS' Thursday Night Football for the Emmy.
