BANGKOK - Models of China's Fuxing bullet train and other trains were showcased in the Rail Asia Expo & RISE Symposium 2018 which was held from Wednesday to Thursday as Chinese companies were seeking opportunities in Thailand.

In the exhibition booth of China's CRRC Corporation Limited, models of different trains developed by the company were on display, including Fuxing (Rejuvenation) bullet train, suspended monorail, low-floor tram, among others.

CRRC also showcased models of Bangkok's BTS train and Thailand's most advanced passenger carriage produced by the company.

Besides, CRRC also brought systems inside Fuxing bullet train to the booth.

"As the first phase of China-Thailand cooperation project on high speed rail, or the high speed rail between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima is already under construction, so we bring Fuxing bullet train and its system here," said Li Jie, general representative of CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co Ltd to Thailand.

Officials from Thailand are very interested in Fuxing bullet train, suspended monorail and others, he added.

This year, CRRC brought six subsidiaries to attend the Rail Asia Expo & RISE Symposium 2018.

Some 10 other Chinese companies in the rail industry also attended the expo.

"We have high-speed rail project with Chinese; they are willing to come to work with us ... if Chinese company can teach us fishing by ourselves, I think it'll be very impressive to work together in terms of railway in Thailand," Chayakorn Piyabunditkul, senior analyst of Thailand's National Railway Technology Development Institute told Xinhua during the expo.
